We place great importance on building confidence and independence, while developing essential social and early learning skills to help children make a smooth and positive transition into primary school.

We believe the best way for you to decide whether John Rankin Nursery is the right place for your child is to come and visit us. Seeing our nursery in action and meeting our staff will give you a real sense of who we are and what we offer. We are happy to arrange tours at any time—please contact the school office to book a visit.

We also hold several open mornings throughout the year. If there is no availability for a scheduled event, please contact the school office and we will be happy to arrange a mutually convenient time for you to visit. Further details can be found on our Prospective Families page.

Please note that attendance at John Rankin Nursery does not give priority for a place in Reception. All parents must apply for a primary school place through West Berkshire Council at the appropriate time by completing the standard admissions process.
