I welcome you to the website of John Rankin Federation – we are a federation comprising of John Rankin Nursery School, John Rankin Infant School and John Rankin Junior School.                                    

In the Introduction to the Headteacher’s Standards (DFE January 2022), it states the following:  

“Headteachers are leading professionals and role model for the communities they serve.  Their leadership is a significant factor in ensuring high quality teaching and achievement in schools and a positive and enriching experience of education for pupils.  Together with those responsible for governance, they are custodians of the nation’s schools.” 

I am honoured to be your  Executive Headteacher and to fulfil the prestigious position that the standards set out and tremendously proud to lead John Rankin Schools – it is clear it is a school that not only is a part of the community but truly has the community at its heart – where the staff team put children at the heart of every decision.  

As Executive Headteacher, I have overall responsibility for the Federation.  The Deputy Headteachers are Miss Amin and Miss Stephenson who lead and manage the day-to-day running of the schools.
